Choosing a Hard Enough Problem
9:53AM: Early this morning as I walking along the streets of HSR layout I was again visited by the surprising realization that everyone around me, each and every individual that I saw today had some desire in their life or still has that and they are actively working each and every day towards realizing it. Along the way the journey or the path that they have followed has shaped them and their life than the initial desire that they started walking on that path, maybe this is a crude way of writing it down but the point being the journey/path that you are following for your ambitions gives more shape on your life and the way you think about your life more than the actual goal itself As a corollary there is also no point is choosing a very ambigious goal for yourself or choosing to work on a very very ambitious problem but then deciding to go via shortcuts to achieve it. There is also no point in doing hard work and sweating over problems that are too small to waste your time on If you have decided to work on a very ambigious goals for your self and also decided to walk on that path, you need to be comfortable with failing, have pragmatism even in the worst of times, relentless pursuit to pioneer and the exceptional ability to never give up. If you are afraid of taking decisions or saying stuff because you think it will make you look boring, cringe, you are not going to make it and it’s a signal that you are again diverting from the path that you decided to once follow This is a good enough proxy or good enough signal to measure if the things that I have decided to work on or problems which I am solving, are they worth solving and will they eventually lead to something important and will they make my life and the life of everyone around me much better
