When I was in my UG years I always used to feel a really deep discontent with myself, whenever I used to accomplish anything I used to tell myself I can achieve even more, my potential is beyond this, I can be more ambitious, I used to vitaly belittle myself

During the same time I was also reading some books and taking humanities electives which used to essentially advice we should have a kind “inner voice” and should cherrish and love ourself, I always felt these were coping mechanisms for the week, it’s like burrowing your head in the sand and acting as if the problem does not exist, cheap dopamins to dull the pain of reality around us, it’s better to embrace the pain I used to think, only the unambitious feel content with their life, I had seen the most successful people around me and the people whom I admired have an intense self belief and conviction fueled by an intense desire to be good enough

I am really really young right now, in my early twenties but I would say my stance has changed somewhat than the younger version of myself. Ambition does not mean you have to constantly diminish or belittle everything that you do, it’s very simply put the magnitude and impact of the end goals that you have decided for yourself, you can reach the same destination by taking a different path, a framework that preserves your peace of mind and your conviction, it could get to your goal faster or slower but it will eventually take you there. you can control what is within your control, let go of what is not and make peace with the universe, the universe if neither against you nor it is with you, it is just there existing in itself to fulfill it’s own purpose of existing for you

I have always measured life in terms of slope and intercepts, intercepts is essentially where you currently are and slope is your rate of change, the rate at which you are improving or working towards your ambitions or goals, eventually as the theory goes it does not matter what your intercept is what matters is your slope, a line with a greater slope will always cross over a line with a lesser slope

I don’t know but there has been this weird phenomenon which I have observed since the past 2 years where I have observed by slope has always increased, infact it has always been more than an exponential increase for me, in every aspect of life, I can list down more than 1000 improvements and signals/indicators which I have observed in myself, I have never felt so great ever in my life, mentally, physically and spiritually, exponentials have a weird property that their slope is also an exponential, so there is literally nothing that can slow down this insane exponential growth that I have unlocked
